The name started with a viral TikTok series Molly created called “Things I Wasted Money on as a Baby CEO.” She shared honest stories about the financial mistakes she made in the early days of running her brand, Melrose Haus—everything from over-ordering stock to spending on the wrong services.

It was her way of helping other founders avoid the same costly pitfalls.

The response was immediate. The videos resonated with a growing community of brand owners who saw themselves in the same position—navigating the start-up chaos, learning as they go, and doing their best to figure things out.

The term Baby CEO quickly stuck. It perfectly captures what so many of us are in those early stages: ambitious, driven, full of potential—but still learning, still growing. The name is a nod to the beginning of the journey, with a clear goal in sight: to go from rookie founder to seasoned business owner.
